Asked: Dying my hair after using sun in?

I've been using sun in for the past two years. My hair is a natural dark brown, and after using sun in for this long, it is a light brown with a reddish tint.
I miss my dark brown hair and want to dye it to that shade so my hair can grow out, however, I've read some scary things about hair falling out, damage, etc.
Is it safe to dye it after using sun in for this long?
Im nervous because i have very nice, healthy hair. Even after using sun in excessively, my hair is still smooth, etc. Though I must say it is not as healthy as my natural hair.
I have never dyed my hair, just used sun in.
Please give me advice. I dont want any damage or my hair to fall out!

Sun in is technically peroxide which is a main ingredient in the dying process. That actually hurts your hair way more than coloring can so putting hair color in it will be fine. Just make sure you use color going darker formula since it used a lower volume developer for deposit only. Nothing for grey coverage!

I'll advice you to apply henna, natural dye is better.
