Asked: How to get my hair more flat and get rid of dandruff?

Okay, so my hair is that thick Asian hair. If I try to grow out my hair, it'll only grow to a certain length and at that point, I have a bowl hair cut. Every time I shower, it gets unbelievably dry, and there's dandruff when I run my hands through it. Dry scalp, dry hair. Even when my hair is short, it's still puffy. Even when I apply some sort of gel to keep it down, it still rises to its original look. Any ideas?

Try using conditioner for dryness or Selsun Blue.

Don't wash your hair every day, it strips the oils in your hair which causes it to dry out. Try and use coconut oil before you wash because I hear that's amazing for dandruff. I'm not sure on the whole puffy thing, maybe you could try and get your hair thinned when you do to the hairdressers?

Every 3 days shampoo and conditioner, and then every 2 just conditioner! This worked for me!

not washing your hair every time you shower will help with the dandruff. i usually try to leave my hair unwashed for as long as i can get away with (usually the third day i feel disgusting and have to wash it).) to keep it looking fresher i use baby powder. i also try to condition all of my hair, not just the ends, on occasion. this is how i was able to get rid of my dandruff. any gel that you are using to keep your hair flat will likely dry it out a little bit. my best advice for keeping your hair smooth is conditioning every time you shampoo, deep conditioning once a week or so, and maybe using a smoothing serum on the length of your hair.

Head and Shoulders. My god, that stuff is good. I went from moderate to severe dandruff to none at all in 3 days. And I've stayed that way ever since.
