Okay im growing my hair too and I've done loads of research on it.

1. Sleep with your hair tied in a bun. This will stop your split ends breaking off in the night as they rub against your pillow. I notices hair growing considerably after a month when I did this
2. Take care of your hair. Brush it through thouroughly and carefully everyday
3. Don't straighten curl or use heat on your hair if you can
4. Wash your hair between 1-3 times a week! No more! Because you need to keep the natural oil in your hair which helps your hair grow healthily

Good luck!

You know that your hair grows at an average rate of about 1.25 cm per month. Do the math.

There is nothing you can do to make your hair grow faster than it is now (despite whatever anyone else will tell you). It can't be done. It was all programmed before you were born, and that is how it is. As long as you are alive, the hair will grow. If you are in good health, it will be growing as fast as it should. If you have damaged your hair, the ends will keep breaking off, and you will never get any longer. Stop doing the damage, look after your hair, and it will be longer. Understand that hair can only reach a maximum length (different for each person) and you may not be able to get it any longer than it is now.

If you want longer hair by August, then you need to put in some extensions. You can make them yourself, if you like (and it's cheaper) and they will work for you really well to get longer hair. Otherwise, not gonna happen!
