And i heard its very bad and many side effects

Just don't do it again.
When you noticed it coming back in, make sure you go and wax it. Most salon's can wax your upper lip for you for as cheap as $10. Good luck

Wax your lip from now on. If u shave it will be thicker and look like a mustache. Good luck!
