Once the hairs reach a certain length they fall out.

Hair that's been tampered with stops growing or grows VERY slowly.

Heat & chemicals does that. Are you using heat on your hair?

i had the same problem a few years ago. my hair would stay shoulder length. i would cut it and it grew very fast but once it reached my shoulders it stopped. to fix this, i just stopped cutting my hair and didn't apply any heat to it all summer and my hair is sooo long now. hope this helps! if not, try using main & tail horse shampoo, i know it sounds crazy but they sell it at any store and it's suppose to make hair thicker and longer. good luck!

I know it did the same thing to me, untill i got pregnant and was taking prenatal vitamins and drinking a ton of water. Then it seemed like my hair grew over night.
So you should take prenatals, my 16 year old sister does the same thing and her hair is growing.
You should also get a small trim every 3 months.

It gets damaged due to various reasons so it stops growing. Get it trimmed an inch every 3 months to get rid of the damaged hair. Hair grows about an inch per month so you'll be gaining 2 inches every three months.

Different people can only grow a certain length of hair before it falls off, which is why some women can grow butt-length hair while others only can grow it up to their waist. Yours could be at that point.

Stop using heat. Leave your hair alone, go to a good hairdresser and ask him/her to decide which haircut suits your face. You can take biotin to help your hair grow longer, but if you don't stop with the heat it's not going to do much.
