Asked: Why is my hair so dead(especially at the ends) . Will cutting it short help?

My hair was always really thick shiny healthy and soft when I was 14 I dyed it and it got really damaged(and falls alot, it still does) but when the color faded out it start getting better but still not like my original hair. Im 18 now its been two years since the color faded and my hair was begginning to be alright. but the past year my family has been travelling alot so I guess the water had an effect on my hair and now my hair is so dead . I trim it every 2 months or so but it still feels and looks dead- No shine or anything. When I was 16 I cut it really short and it looked nice on me- I want it really long but i feel like its not growing . Should I cut it real short? will it help..Also a few months ago I had a blood test and found out my iron level was low and started taking some iron supplements and i noticed a difference within a month but then he said the supplements were too strong so i stopped and then he said I could take them again and the second time i used them i saw felt no difference. Sorry for the long question..Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Cutting your hair will get rid of the ends but if its growing back looking dull it won't make a difference. There are hair masks and oils you can buy to bring back shine and to help the hair grow back healthier, I would try them then speak to a hairdresser if nothing else works

When my hair starts feeling bad, I wash it, thickly apply a deep conditioner then put on a shower cap and cover it with a towel for at least an hour while I do chores, then I rinse and style as usual, makes it feel extra special

Use hair oil weekly, cut it as short as u can, dont wash everyday,
1) mix coconut and lime cool for one hour then apply it on ur hair. It will be so much better.
2) mix avocados and yoghurt and honey and apply on ur hair.
I have more but too lazy to type sorry..
