Asked: How to style hair like this on the sides?
Being Asian, I have the curse of having my hair stick out when it's too short. On the other hand, when I try to grow it out, it just looks messy on the side. But this hairstyle looks really neat on the side, while being long enough to lay down instead of sticking out. How long are the sides on this hair style??

The sides are not that long, but they aren't buzzed to the head either, I'm sure you can take it to the barbershop and they will know just what to do. I believe it is sort of a long frohawk.
