Asked: 4 year old with pink patch in scalp?

The first thing I noticed was some flaking..sticky stuff in her hair. When I moved her hair around I seen a very light pink patch on her scalp..and it looks as if there isn't much hair growing in that area. I tried some dandruff shampoo but I am more concerned about the pink patch..anyone know what this is? She has an appointment today, just a worried Mommy is all.

It's so important that you're paying close attention to your little girls' skin, as it's the body's biggest organ!

Here's a short list of things it might be:
– A simple allergy to a soap, shampoo, conditioner, laundry soap, etc. These are WAY more common than you think, and it can be a mild form of irritation.
– Eczema: a smile skin issue. Very simple, easy to manage, harmless if treated.
– Psoriasis: Psoriasis is a common skin condition that causes skin redness and irritation. Most people with psoriasis have thick, red skin with flaky, silver-white patches called scales, but it doesn't have to be that harsh or serious.
– A spot that she's been itchy or such.

Good luck!
I'm very sure it's nothing serious. 🙂
