Asked: help with dip dye? maybe using bleach?

ok, so im a natural brunette but a few years back i dyed my hair red.. since then ive been growing it out (wanting my natural colour back and not wanting to ruin my hair even more by dying it again.)

anyways its about half way out now and im so bored of my hair at the minute so ive been thinking about dip dying it.. not to much of a trashy blonde colour but almost golden/caramel… the reason for this is because im not dying my full head therefore not ruining my natural colour again and just dying over the red which i was growing out anyways.. just a change really.

So ive got a feeling theres gonna be a few problems along the way.. first of all im gonna do it myself.. also im wondering if theres any hair dyes NOT BLEACH which i can use and will be succesfull if not then what kind of bleach is best? and also will it work with the red? its not red anymore its like a coppery colour, but yeah? HELP?

try using colour before/other stripping products just on the red parts of your hair.
apply conditioner on the parts of your hair that are natural/you don’t want to change so that it will have no effect on them.

use an ombre kit from loreal or just a normal blonde die with no peroxide in it once you have achieved your natural colour on the parts you would like to dipdye.

heres a dipdye tutorial link:

she uses bleach although you could just use a blonde dye and see how it turns out and repeat after leaving your hair to rest for a week or so until you get your desired result

if you are using the blonde dye multiple times and are worried about the condition of your hair you could use an aussie 3 minute miracle sachet or a DIY hair mask which will really help the condition of your hair

aussie 3 minute miracle:

also available in small single use sachets for around a pound in most supermarkets
if you have very long/thick hair buy more than one sachet

diy hair mask with household items:

i wouldn’t recommend using either of those treatments more than once/twice a week unless your hair is extremely damaged as it can make it quite greasy.
