Asked: Will shaving your moustache early cause it to be harder?

My parents told me not to shave my moustache (I'm 13 years old, already shaved it once) anymore until I'm older because my dad shaved his moustache early when he was young and he said that when it grew back the hairs were all hard and really thick. Now his moustache hairs naturally grow thick and hard.

Shave even if you don't have to. I'm 18 and I have a full thick goatee.
