Asked: Do women have to get their hair shaved off too when getting a tattoo, or is that just for men?
I'm a girl and I want to get a tattoo on my arm. I have hair on my arms, but nothing really hairy like a man, just like what girls usually have. Will they shave the hair off too or will they leave it? I don't really want my arm hairs shaved off, I hear it makes it grow back thicker and worse. I don't want that to happen.

You're going to need it shaved off whether it's thick or not. Hair just gets in the way.

Yeah they shave it. And it's a myth that it grows back faster and worse, I don't know why EVERYONE believes that. Old old wives tale. I got a tattoo on my outer forearm and i'm a chick. Shaved the fine hair off ad it grew back completely normal.
