African hair will most likely not grow as much as an inch a month. It grows a lot Slower. All I can recommend is don't do any damage to your hair no bleaching, relaxing or anything, and overs few days massage some argon oil or coco nut oil into your scalp as it'll encourage your hair to grow. Take extra good care of it and massage the roots often you might just achieve your goal, but it won't be as quick as an inch a month. Be patient and keep it up.

Trimming it actually does help it grow. It doesn't grow it it's unhealthy and broken. Also, don't do much to your hair when it's wet because that also breaks it. Avoid dying or straightening/crimping/curling. Make sure your hair's clean and moisturised, because dead skin cells on your scalp block it.
