Asked: When your hair itches, does that mean that it’s growing?

I recently started putting coconut oil in my hair because its very good for hair growth and thickness. But I've noticed that when using it, my scalp would get itchy. It's not an allergic reaction or anything, but it feels like its growing. Any explanations?? Thanks for replying!! 🙂

Your hair is always growing. The itching might not necessarily be an allergic reaction, but it could still be an irritant. However, you cannot feel your hair grow.

Hi I Emma and I work for Beauty Recommended!

Hair is growing all the time, the key way to tell if hair is growing is when it's shedding.

Shedding hair means fresh hair is welcome, and you have healthier hair. Makesure your diet has been great and you haven't been using heat or pulling your hair otherwise your hair would be falling out because of the way you've been treating it.

Coconut oil is amazing for healthy, thick long hair but unfortunately it doesn't speed up growth but it does make hair very healthy and shiny for when it grows but I'm sure you've heard of massaging your scalp is a way of speeding up the growth. massaging your scalp helps to simulate blood flow and delivers nutrients to hair.

Thanks, Emma ;o)
