Asked: Which way would be better for straightening hair?

Hi, so I want straight hair, mine is wavy right now, I use a straightener, well actually two, one I use on my hair, and a mini I use on my bangs so I don’t fry them. I’m trying to grow out my hair my hair grew 9 inches in the passed 3 years. It stopped growing but then started again it grew 3 inches since July. My goal is to get it 8 inches longer. I, getting extensions I’ve had them before, loved them, but they got to worn out. I want to know if I should continue to use my straightener or get my hair chemically straightened, my sister said I should stop using heat products. But I can’t go out with my natural hair some spots are curlier then others. Which one should I do?

Keep straightening it.
Heat on your hair isn’t as bad as we’ve been told. As long as you keep the heat up so you don’t have to repeatedly go over the same spots, you’re fine. Getting it chemically straightened is really pricey and why add chemicals to your body when it’s unnecessary?

In my opinion, if you like your hair straightened more often then you should get them chemically straightened because using a straightener always might damage your hair.

Straighten it. Chemically straightening is sooo damaging!

Your hair can actually grow better when you’re not using hair style-rs. Maybe you just shouldn’t straighten your hair as often.
