Your ends are gonna split regardless, but you can lower the severity of it. Trim your ends about every 3-4 months, and try not to use a lot of heat.

get a haircut regularly, around every 6-8 weeks
hair shears work better than regular scissors

Your hair grows from the root, not the ends. Be sure you're treating and conditioning your roots and scalp very well to promote growth. The ends are going to split as your hair grows. Keep them trimmed by a professional as needed. Your hair care professional can let you know how often is enough for a trim. Also, how often do you wash your hair? Unless you have super oily hair, washing it every day is damagingand drying to the roots and ends. If possible, use dry shampoo and washing your hair every other day …or less often if possible. Be sure to drink plenty of water for hydration because a dehydrated body will affect your hair and it's growth.
