Asked: Will a light blonde color turn red if I dye it over with a golden blonde dye?

Ok. I dyed my hair platinum blonde a little over a few months ago and I absolutely hate it. My hair isn't overall white, the top is white, my roots are grown in, and the ends of my hair are a little little darker than the rest but its not noticeable really. Anyway, I really want to go a dirty blonde color but everyone I asked has not given me an answer on how to do it! I'm afraid my hair will go red or green if I use the wrong dye and I have no money to get it done at the salon. How can I get dirty/golden blonde hair 🙁

Get a medium Or dark blonde with neutral undertones. It'll be labelled on the box as neutral.
If you get golden or anything with warm undertones, it'll dye your hair to look yellow/orange. If you get ash blonde, it could end up looking gray or green. Go with neutral to be safe.

I recommend L'Oreal excellence cream.

Depends on what color your roots are. If they are a dirty blonde, then no problem. Go to Sally's, they have hair swatches, you can match it to your roots to the best of your ability. You will need the color (and if past your shoulders 2 tubes) and 20 volume developer, which are always at the bottom of the shelf. Salon Care is a good brand. Make sure you get the creme color and not liquid. You will need to mix equal parts, tubes are 2 oz so 2 oz of developer. Mix and apply. The only way it will turn a weird color is if you pick a weird color.
