Asked: Opinions on using lemon juice in hair?

Okay so my hair used to be literally platinum blonde. like on the verge of being white, that kind of blonde. It was ridiculous. But as I got older, my hair naturally started getting darker, so now I'm dirty blonde. I wanted to try to use the lemon juice trick to lighten it up a little bit. I don't want it back to platinum blonde, just a littttle bit lighter and brighter 🙂 so I have a few questions..
-does the lemon juice thing work effectively?
-when my hair grows in during the winter is it going to look like I dyed my hair?
-I heard that it dries out your hair really badly, is this true?
-What is the best way to do it that is most effective?
-What is your general opinion on it and do you suggest I try it?

thanks a bunch!!! 😀

lemon juice doesn't work on all people…it mostly drys out every ones hair, i dont think you should try it because when i tried it (im dirty blonde) it really screwed up my hair..i think if you want blonde hair or just a little lighter just try dying it naturally 🙂

but it is your choice to dye your hair with lemon juice…just go ahead and try it! i doubt it will do anything anyways 🙂

I have used lemon juice, and I think it works (but its not dramatic) I don't think it makes your hair look dyed, it will just kinda blend in. If you want highlights, try to streak it on. And you will want to take a shower after using lemon juice. You won't know if it works for you until you try!=)
