Asked: Isn’t damage from a perm only "temporary"?

Say if someone with straight hair got a curly perm. Even if the hair is damaged, the hair that is growing in at the top will just be the same natural texture and health as previous, right? Therefore in an extreme situation, couldn't you just shave your head, grow the hair back out and have it both the natural texture and health as before the perm?

Yeah it'll only damage the hair outside of ur head lol mainly the tips of ur hair..the damage wouldn't be sooo bad at the top of ur hair to where u gotta shave it lol it really badly damages your tips tho #ihaveexperience o.o

correct.the new hair that was never in contact with perm solution is not going to have damage from the perm solution.
